Obexion FR Loose Material is designed to help first responders safely manage lithium-ion battery fire incidents by surrounding damaged, overheating, smoking, or at-risk batteries with a purpose-built fire containment material.

Powered by AkkuGrain® compound, Obexion FR works by disrupting the three pillars of the fire triangle: heat, oxygen, and fuel. It helps contain the heat, push oxygen away from the battery cathode, and create a barrier to help prevent other parts of the battery from igniting.

Obexion FR is intended for damaged lithium batteries, end-of-life lithium batteries, batteries at risk of thermal runaway, lithium batteries in power tools, and battery pack sizes ranging from smaller electronics to e-bikes and scooters.

Once packed in Obexion FR material, lithium-ion batteries can remain in a more stable state for safer handling, transport, or shipping. The material provides a practical alternative to traditional options such as dirt, sand, or vermiculite.
