A.J. Stone Company Ltd. Announces New Vice President of Operations
Vaughan, ON: A.J. Stone Company Ltd., the leading firefighter and first responder equipment provider in Ontario is pleased to formally announce that Michelle O’Hara has recently joined the organization in the newly instituted role of Vice President of Operations.
As part of the executive leadership team Michelle oversees day-to-day operations - defining and implementing operational strategies, structure, and processes. Part of Michelle’s portfolio includes mentoring the management team along with creating and instilling policy and procedures throughout operations, driving operational efficiencies and quality control. Michelle also works with the VP of Sales and Marketing on marketing efforts and customer relations.
Michelle is a senior executive and has over 17 years of extensive experience in operational planning, project, and strategic management by driving growth through innovative program and policy development. She is well versed in stakeholder engagement, public and government relations, and leads organizations to achieve financial and operational success.

Stone further added, “Michelle is known for her extensive operational and project management experience, with the ability to build relationships across various communities and for handling complex and sensitive situations. She has a reputation for engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to determine strategies and solutions. Michelle is a great fit for this newly created role, and I am delighted to welcome her to the leadership team”.
Prior to joining the A.J. Stone Company Ltd., Michelle served as President of the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council (MMIC). In her short tenure with the organization, Michelle worked with their Board of Directors to increase operational efficiencies, developed projects and policies that focused on membership value, and implemented strategies to engage and promote riding across Canada.
More notably, Michelle spent over 11 years at the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs, most recently as Executive Director where she served as a key executive member in many projects and initiatives to help improve Ontario’s diverse fire sector.
She is a Certified Association Executive and holds many credentials in information technology, business administration, marketing, accounting, and project management, both in the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Outside of her day-to-day, Michelle is an active women’s advocate, specifically for women in powersports. As a motorcycle rider and racer, she has a passion for the industry, with a focus on the promotion of women riders in Canadian road racing.
