Always concerned about the Health and Safety issues that face firefighters, we were very excited to partner with E.S. Safety Systems. E.S Safety Systems Inc has been in the Fire Service since 2002 as a manufacturer of Compressed Air Cylinder Storage and Handling Systems.
SAFE "T" SYSTEM
The Safe"T"System is E.S Systems Inc.'s first product. The concept behind the Safe "T" System Holder/Carrier is simple. The T handle of the holder/carrier locks the cylinders into the device while locking the device into your vehicle/storage simultaneously, thus providing safe and secure fixed storage.
A quarter turn in either direction of the T Handle allows an individual cylinder/ the 2 cylinder holder/carrier to be removed from compartment or rack for manually transporting cylinders to and from staging areas and/or refill sites. This eliminates the extremely unsafe practice of handling high pressure cylinders by the valve handle or valve assembly. The Safe"T" System can be secured vertically or horizontally and made to retrofit your existing fleet.
The Safe "T" System can be customized for any size cylinder, multiple cylinder storage, and most vehicles such as truck compartments, station storage racks or mobile (on wheels) cart.
EXAMPLES OF VEHICLES WITH CUSTOMIZED SAFE "T" SYSTEM IN PLACE:
Air Support Vehicles:
Air/Light Trucks
Fire Boats
Heavy Rescue
Ladder
Command Vehicles (Interchangeable)
Utility Pick-Up Trucks (Interchangeable)
EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT SIZE CONFIGURATION OF THE SAFE "T" SYSTEM:
helps prevent the possibility of dropping a high pressure vessel in an unfriendly environment (i.e. stairwell of a burning building)
prevents light composite and high pressure (up to 4500 psi) cylinders from becoming a projectile if the valve is damaged by dropping
eliminates the cumbersome and unsafe practice of carrying cylinders by the valve handle or valve assembly
EFFICIENCY
conserves manpower and energy for the real task
permits a single firefighter to carry four cylinders at a time effortlessly
one-step cylinder transfer - by eliminating the multiple step process of transferring apparatus storage device to transporting device
provides organized and secure staging area
eliminates the unsafe practice of stacking cylinders like cord wood
COST EFFECTIVENESS
reduces injuries such as minor strains to serious injury or death caused by mishandling practices
reduces public property damage with more efficient fire ground operations
reduces expensive cylinder maintenance costs and prolongs longevity of the cylinders by reducing damages such as bent handles, broken gauges and damaged threads
prevents mishandling of high pressure cylinders that may result in unnecessary expenses and jeopardizing firefighters' safety
