Company History

After a long and successful career in the sales and manufacturing sector of the fire equipment industry, the late Mr. Alfred J. Stone incorporated his own company in 1972.  Before long, A.J. Stone co. was well known in the Canadian Fire Market for knowledge, selection of quality products, and fair prices.

Today, A.J. Stone Co. Ltd. is run by a second and third generation of fire professionals supported by a dedicated team with strong fire service background. We are working together to further the vision of becoming the market leader in supplying quality First Responder equipment throughout Ontario by offering unsurpassed customer service, product selection, and total satisfaction.

In 2015, the company moved to a 20,000 sq. ft. office/warehouse facility in Vaughan, just north of Toronto and conveniently located just east of the 400/407 highways.  The company now employs 3 warehouse staff,  10 office and customer service staff,  9 geographically located outside sales reps, and 5 factory trained Repair and Service Technicians for both in-house and mobile service.

New in 2018 is the transition to the Quality Management System Standard ISO 2001:2015.  This management system allows all staff to contribute to the continuous journey of growth and improvement in our mandate to provide consistency, quality products, exemplary customer service and satisfaction for our valued customers.
